With eight wood engravings by Webb including a frontispiece. Set in Cochin type with Fry's Ornamented titling. Publisher's cream parchment blocked in gilt, edges untrimmed, original plain tissue jacket. Crisp and clean inside and out. Delicate wrapper with one chip to rear. Fry's Ornamented type had something of a renaissance in the 50s, and was brought to a wide audience when used to decorate Ian Fleming's Casino Royale (1953). Item #74820
