Inscribed by Thomas Blofeld for the ordination of Archibald Graham Campbell, signed 'from T.R.C.B.' with associated lengthy autograph letter from Blofeld. Text leaves a little toned, first and final blanks re-marginged/reinforced, some worming at gutter (old), covers a little rubbed/marked. A fondly inscribed copy of Donne's sermons to mark the ordination of Right Reverend Campbell, CBE (1900-78) later Bishop of Colombo, from his Eton chum and James Bond villain namesake Thomas Robert Calthorpe Blofeld (1903-1986). Both were contemporaries of Ian Fleming at Eton college, and Blofeld was a fellow member of Boodle's. Fleming famously appropriated the name for his recurring series character Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
