Memoirs of the literary agent David Higham who began his career at Curtis Brown and founded Pearn, Pollinger & Higham, renamed David Higham Associates in 1958. Among the talents he acted for were Muriel Spark, Arthur C. Clarke, Keith Waterhouse and the most commercially successful, James Bond creator Ian Fleming, whom Higham fondly referred to as the 'Playboy of the Western Morning News'.
