Publisher's red cloth with black titles to spine, dust-wrapper illustrated by William Randall priced at 10/6. No ink names, edges gently toned, jacket with some light rubs and a couple of tears neatly taped to reverse side, chips to crown and rear panel. Another case for the eccentric oversized New York armchair detective Nero Wolfe. The mysteries of Rex Stout were cited as an influence by thriller writer Ian Fleming, being mentioned by name in the James Bond novels (read by 007 and frowned upon by M). Item #74402
