Publisher's dark grey cloth-effect paper (Fabroleen) over boards with gilt lettering to the spine, plain covers, patterned green endpapers. Together with another copy in brown Fabroleen covers lettered in bronze to the spine, plain covers, patterned green endpapers, each with pictorial dust-jacket illustrated by Richard Chopping. Dark grey/gilt copy is fine in jacket, brown/bronze copy has some spotting/toning to edge else fine in jacket. Both are price clipped. The final James Bond novel by Ian Fleming. A previously unrecorded binding; this is one of just over 5000 copies of the 82,000-strong first impression bound in the Fabroleen material - the vast majority were bound in Excelin. Uncommon. Offered here are two variants of the same cloth, from the collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencilled ownership within). Item #74078
