The author's debut novel set in Eton College. This title was reviewed upon publication by Ian Fleming, who was an Old Etonian. Richard Chopping, illustrator of the striking dust-jacket, was already famous for producing the memorable artwork for Ian Fleming's James Bond series. This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within).
