SIGNED by Chopping to the front flap, above his printed credit. Scarce thus. Lightly handled, a few small spots to top edge, jacket with a couple of neat vertical creases. Near fine. The author's debut novel set in Eton College. This title was reviewed upon publication by Ian Fleming, who was an Old Etonian. Richard Chopping, illustrator of the striking dust-jacket, was already famous for producing the memorable artwork for Ian Fleming's James Bond series. This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #73954
