Contents clean, some browning to rear enpape and flap, jacket with a couple of neat tears at crown. Shows well. One of Simenon's psychological thrillers, set aboard a Belgian evacuation train in May 1940. Simenon was clearly an influence on Ian Fleming; the pair met in Switzerland (1960) and their conversation was recorded in Harper's Bazaar (1964). Item #73142
