Pierre Francis De Marigny Berton, (1920-2004) was a noted Canadian author of non-fiction and was a well-known television personality and journalist. An accomplished storyteller, Berton was one of Canada's most prolific and popular authors, writing mainly about popular culture and Canadian history. This book contains the transcripts of the pick of interviews from Berton's nightly television programme, which ran throughout this exceptional decade. Guests/contributors include Michael Caine, Malcolm X, Phil Spector and Lenny Bruce. Mrs. Ian Fleming's article 'Widow to a Legend' can be found on p.147. Previously owned by Iwan Hedman-Morelius, a crime connoisseur, mystery magazine publisher and a respected figure in Bond-collecting circles (with his characteristic and discreet ink notation to top corner), subsequently part of the Jon Gilbert collection.
