Diamonds are Forever. Original screenplay.
U.K., [1971]. [Movie memorabilia] Vintage original post-production continuity script for the United Artists' film 'Diamonds are Forever' written by Richard Maibaum and Tom Mankiewicz, based on the novel by Ian Fleming. Complete script, without markings. A4 size, 150+pp., simply bound within printed folder type covers (rear cover detached and front cover lacking) secured at the head via a metal slide clasp. Apart from the cover wear, the contents are generally fine. This undated version of the screenplay is known as a 'continuity script' [international version of the final export] showing the dialogue cutting continuity with 'rainbow' corrections, used primarily in foreign-language dubbing and editing to maintain the correct timing of the dialogue to the screen action. It was likely produced in November 1971, in advance of the worldwide release of the film that December. Diamonds Are Forever was the final Eon-produced James Bond film to star Sean Connery in the lead role. From the collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil ownership to first leaf).
