Publisher's black cloth-effect paper over boards, lettered in gilt, pictorial dust-wrapper illustrated by Richard Chopping priced ay 15s. W.H. Smith's library 'Thriller' bookplate to pastedown, with neat ink stamp to same. Bibliographer's bookplate and pencil annotations to endpapers. Contents clean, edges gently toned, jacket shows some wear and toning, with a few small chips and a vertical crease to rear panel, rich red lettering to spine. Remains a presentable and inexpensive copy of the true first edition. The first selection of James Bond short stories, which was followed by 'Octopussy and The Living Daylights'. This collection includes 'For Your Eyes Only' and 'From A View to a Kill' and 'Quantum of Solace', all of which were adapted as part of the 007 movie series. Item #72857
