Publisher's 'yellow band' card wrappers with Dressing table illustration, priced at 2/6 or unpriced. Great Pan G101. Cheap paper toned as expected, ink marks to cover of unpriced copy, tape and rubs to joints of same, other copy is fine. UK editions of Fleming's bestselling James Bond series were imported by numerous British overseas territories across the globe [Gilbert], as demonstrated by the present copies. According to the publisher's archive only 50,000 copies were printed (low for a mass-market paperback) and was sold out within a month. This scarce pair is from the collection of Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil ownership within). Item #72790
