No inscriptions, edges toned, jacket worn with some chips and tears, spine toned, flaps spotted. Very good. The book is a U.S. first, in an unpriced dust-jacket with Book-of-the-Month Club credits to front flap. The anthropologist author's experiences in Japan in the 1950's, touching on the social history and customs of the country.
