A near fine copy of the book, in a very good wrapper with a few chips. Shows well. A popular book which went through many printings; the first is now elusive. An informal instruction manual from one of the masters of the game, cited by Ian Fleming in both his James Bond novel 'Diamonds Are Forever' and his sporting article 'Nightmare Among The Mighty' [a.k.a. 'Golfing Nightmare']. Fleming was a student of the game and an accomplished player; in his final year he was Captain Elect at the prestigious Open Links club, Royal St. George's, Kent. This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #71341
