Contents clean, no inscriptions, a little toning/dustiness to edges of text block, jacket shows light wear only; price clipped. Near fine. The author's debut novel set in Eton College. This title was reviewed upon publication by Ian Fleming, who was an Old Etonian. Richard Chopping, illustrator of the striking dust-jacket, was already famous for producing the memorable artwork for Ian Fleming's James Bond series. This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within).
