A result of the '60s spy fiction craze, these films starred Robert Vaughan and David McCallum in their famous roles of Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, supported by guest stars including Leo G. Carroll, Janet Leigh, Joan Crawford, Curt Jurgens and Telly Savalas. The latter two subsequently had leading roles in the James Bond film franchise.
