Contents clean, no ink inscriptions, jacket with some chips to spine, some marks to rear. Very good. Winston Clewes was an English novelist whose work was adapted for television. The jacket for Men at Work, with its striking wood-grained background and 'tea chest' font is visually similar to the dust-jackets produced by Jonathan Cape for Ian Fleming's James Bond novels (1957 onwards), and may have influenced artist Richard Chopping. Curiously, Clewes plays for television starred unrelated Scottish actor Ian Fleming, and James Bond franchise regular Robert Brown This copy is from the comprehensive bibliographical archive assembled by Jon Gilbert, with pencil ownership. His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #70929
