To Miss Eileen Cond, thanking her for her recent letter, sending condolences, discussing novel writing and a forthcoming research trip to Nigeria. One sheet of note paper, fifteen lines written in black ink. Folded once, near fine. Berkely Mather, writer of espionage adventure books which were favourably reviewed by Ian Fleming for the Sunday Times. Mather contributed to the screenplay for the first James Bond film 'Dr. No' (1962). The recipient Eileen Cond corresponded with numerous authors, notably Ian Fleming and Berkely Mather. Well-known as a prominent collector of thrillers, she was also the first secretary to the James Bond Fan Club. Item #70919
