Spine lean, some reading creases, spine gently toned; neat book label of prominent collector Martin Schoyen. Very good. A scarce variant of the hugely popular Pan edition which has only come to light in the past decade and has since been included in the second edition of Ian Fleming: The Bibliography [2017]. This version is substantially different to regular copies; it is printed on thick, white paper and bulks to 19mm wide; the covers are made from stiffer card and no price is printed on the upper cover; the spine lettering is white not blue; no adverts are included. Only one other copy has been viewed, which was part of the bibliographical archive. No details of this variant are recorded at the Pan Macmillan archive. Most unusual. Item #70685
