[Cinema promotion] Complete set of eight black & white UK Front of House Stills for the 1963 UA film starring Sean Connery as Ian Fleming's James Bond, produced by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions. These single-weight matte monochrome cards were produced for the re-release of the film in the late 60s and 1970s. Each 8 x 10 inches, with captioned borders. No creases or handling whatsoever, reverse sides clean. A crisp, fine set. Housed in a black card presentation wallet with printed label. Ideal for framing. Note on Format; the Lobby Card is a small poster or titled still printed on card stock, usually 10 x 8 inches (UK and Europe) or 11 x 14 inches (US) in a landscape view. Generally produced in sets of eight in colour for Britain and America, intended for display in a cinema foyer or lobby. Film stills are in a similar format but on photographic paper, taken from the film print (occasionally with a scene number). These are more numerous and mostly printed in black and white.
