When the book was filmed in 1964, the current model, a DB5 was used to great effect; dubbed 'the most famous car in the world' it simply stole screen time to become an instant movie icon. The marque became closely linked with the James Bond franchise. Numerous other AM models have since been used since, but the DB5 in silver birch is considered to be the quintessential vehicle associated with the character and has reappeared in Thunderball, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die.
