Contents clean, discreet owner name beneath flap, some dampstaining to wrapper with some very faint offsetting to endpapers, minor edge wear and rubbing. Very good. The first murder case for private investigator Mike Hammer. Spillane's follow-up novel was read by the future James Bond novelist Ian Fleming in March 1950. Item #69988
