Publisher's yellow card wrappers illustrated by Rex Archer, designated either 'Great Pan' series G101 priced 2/6 or 'X series' X235 priced 3/6. Cheap paper toned as expected, single owner name to 'Great Pan' copy, covers are bright, light rubbing to joints. Very good indeed. Near fine. The majority of copies with 3/6 price are twelfth printing onwards (as set out in the bibliography) so this variant may have been paired with the wrong cover flat. This pair is from the collection of Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil ownership within). Item #69432
