Fine throughout. From the comprehensive James Bond collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert, with his pencil ownership. In the 'sixties, 'James Bond' creator Ian collaborated with producer Norman Felton to develop 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' After some input, Fleming withdrew due to contractual obligations. He proposed two characters, Napoleon Solo and April Dancer (appearing in the spin-off series 'The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.') and the pilot episode was filmed as 'Ian Fleming's Solo'. The original series of 105 episodes aired between 1964-8 and featured several actrors/artists associated with the James Bond films; Jack Lord, Luciana Paluzzi, Telly Savalas, Nancy Sinatra and Richard Kiel. This 1983 reunion film was eventually titled 'Return of the The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' and featured Patrick Macnee ('Tibbett' in A View To A Kill) and, in tribute to Fleming, George Lazenby appeared as secret agent 'J.B.', driving a silver Aston Martin D.B.5. Also cast was Simon Williams, husband of Lucy Fleming (Ian Fleming's niece). Item #69416
