New York: William Morrow / Quill, 1992. [Literary anthology] U.S. PAPERBACK EDITION, first thus. Octavo (21 x 14cm), pp.87; [1], blank. With vignette illustrations. Publisher's illustrated self-wraps (with flaps), priced at $8.00. A clean fine copy. First published in 1962, this edition appeared on the thirtieth anniversary. Rather scarce. From the Jon Gilbert collection. Conceived by Ian Fleming, who contributed a foreword; while still a member of the Editorial Board at the Sunday Times, Fleming had the brilliant idea of asking some of the greatest writers of the time (many of whom were his close friends) to comment on their favourite deadly sin - the serial appeared in the newspaper with contributions from Patrick Leigh Fermor, Cyril Connolly, Edith Sitwell, Evelyn Waugh, W.H.Auden, Christopher Sykes and Angus Wilson.
