The novella is advertised on the front cover and appears on pp.22-4, and pp.95-100, with a full-colour frontispiece illustration by Lou Feck. Publisher's colour-illustrated paper covers, priced at 50c. Some minor wear and handling. A near fine copy without the usual postal label to upper. Uncommon thus. This is the first American appearance, abridged from 'The Living Daylights', which first appeared in the The Sunday Times Colour Section in February the same year. This copy is from the comprehensive bibliographical archive assembled by Jon Gilbert, with pencil ownership. His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #68995
