Contents clean, most discreet ink ownership to margin, jacket price clipped. A clean fine copy. Aviation mystery set in the present day [1976], concerning the discovery of a WWII US Air Force wreck beneath Romney Marsh. Dog tags are retrieved the remains and upon investigation, the aircraft was never reported missing, and the crew are apparently alive and well. A clever thriller written before Gardner's stint as the official James Bond novelist. This copy is from the collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert, with pencilled ownership within.
