Publisher's cloth-effect paper over boards with embossed skeleton hand design to upper board, gilt titles to spine, dust-wrapper illustrated by Richard Chopping, priced at 15s. Contents clean, discreet ink ownership to endpaper, jacket shows some use; chips to spine ends, one tear to rear joint reaching across spine, associated rubbing. Very good. An inexpensive copy of the first impression. 'Thunderball' is a pivotal work of the series; it was here that Fleming first introduced the world to the ultimate Bond villain, Ernest Stavro Blofeld. Basis for the fourth movie in the long-running series, starring Sean Connery as 007, Claudine Auger as Domino and Adolfo Celi as Emilio Largo- SPECTRE's No.2. Item #68442
