Publisher's navy blue cloth over boards, lettered in silver to the spine [together with] publisher's mid-blue vinyl over boards, lettered in white to the spine. Both in pictorial dust-wrapper featuring the Robert McGuinness promotional illustration for the film adaptation. Near fine copies. Vinyl boards is likely a cheaper secondary binding, with small red dot remainder mark to top edge. Released by the Mystery Book Club, although not stated on the book or jacket, this edition represents the only US hardcover of an Ian Fleming title to be issued as a film tie-in. From the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature/bookplate within). His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography.
