Publisher's dark brown cloth-effect paper over boards with silver titles to spine, in original jacket designed by Richard Chopping, priced at 16s. Some toning/spotting to edges, jacket lightly handled with a few small nicks. Very good. This copy bears the ink ownership signature of the acclaimed fellow spy/mystery writer Michael Gilbert (1912-2006), a recipient of the CWA Diamond Dagger, named a 'Grandmaster' of the genre by the MWA. This copy was later owned by his namesake and Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). Item #68284
