Contents clean, edges of text block a little toned, jacket lightly creases, one short tear at flap. Near fine. Cromwell-era cloak-and-dagger suspense from Berkely Mather, whose novels were favourably reviewed by Ian Fleming for the Sunday Times. At Fleming's request, Mather contributed to the screenplay for the first James Bond film 'Dr. No' (1962). This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). His encylopedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography.
