This is a secondary binding for The Times (stamped as such to rear endpaper). No other stamps/inscriptions, contencts clean, spine lettering a little dulled; very good. The author's first mystery for adults, listed in Hubin, and a major influence upon novelist Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond. This copy is from the comprehensive bibliographical archive assembled by Jon Gilbert, with his pencilled ownership. His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #68061
