Publisher's presentation copy, so stamped to title page. Some minor toning and marks within, cloth lightly rubbed, joints a little frayed; a very good, used copy. The autobiography of world speed record holder Malcolm Campbell. Includes mentions of Count Louis Zborowski and his car Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang (which later inspired the book of the same name by Ian Fleming), and engineer Charles Amherst Villiers, who designed Campbell's record-breaking Bluebird car. Villiers was best known for his superchargers and the 'Blower' Bentley; his close friend Ian Fleming chose one for his famous character's own vehicle, featuring in the first three James Bond novels.
