The autobiography of British publisher and editor Rupert Hart-Davis, who was a close friend of the Fleming family [Peter Fleming was the godfather to his son, Duff Hart-Davis]. Initially working for Heinemann, hart-Davis moved to Jonathan Cape, where he became a director, before setting up his own publishing house backed by Celia Johnson and Peter Fleming among others. This copy is from the Ian Fleming Bibliographical Archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within).
