New York, NY: New American Library, 1964. [Spy Fiction] FIRST US EDITION, third Printing. Octavo (22 x 14cm), pp.240; [2], blank. Publisher's hardback yellow cloth binding blocked in two colours, red top edge, red endpapers, pictorial dust-jacket priced at $4.50. A curious copy which has been embellished by a previous owner, with twelve illustrations pasted on to endappers and throughout the book, mostly being contemporary newsclippings relating to the 1967 film adaptation. Some offset toning as a result, tape on endpapers, binding is clean, jacket very good. An unusual 'personalised copy', later owned by Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil ownership within). These later printings are far less common than the first. Item #67323
