Original wrappers, illustrated with a photograph of Sean Connery, priced at £9.99. Signed by both authors to title page. Gift inscription in ink, some tanning to edges, spine sunned. Very good. A scarce book in first edition, and rare when signed. A selection of fiction relating to the card game bridge, at which Ian Fleming was a serious player and incorporated into his novel 'Moonraker'. Among the three tales collected here is the title story, a scarce James Bond short adventure. The story, despite being issued by a major publisher and containing undisguised references to the Bond characters, contains no reference to Ian Fleming Publications, suggesting the use of Bond, M and Miss Moneypenny is unofficial. Not be confused with the 1987 John Gardner official 007 novel, 'No Deals, Mr. Bond. From the Jon Gilbert Collection (pencilled ownership within). Item #67281
