Pagination differs from the published book. Contents clean, spine gently toned and wrinkled, some wear to joints, cup ring to front panel; very good. A satirical melodrama. 'Dickie' Chopping was the artist responsible for the memorable series of jacket designs which adorned Ian Fleming's James Bond novels. This was his first attempt at fiction, which was well received and established him as a credible author in his own right. This copy formerly sold by bookseller and publisher Nigel Williams (pencilled note within) to Jon Gilbert, bibliographer of Ian Fleming.
