James Bond in No Deals' Mr. Bond.
New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1987. [Thriller] FIRST US EDITION, AUTHOR'S PERSONAL COPIES (two varying copies), signed. Octavo (22 x 15cm), pp.317; [3]. Publisher's hardcover in pictorial dust-wrapper showing the original price of $13.95, the other copy in a simple mock-up jacket of some vintage (likely contemporary) with a typographical design. Each book is autographed by John Gardner to the title page with his manuscript note 'Author's Copy'. Both are in near fine condition. The dummy jacket is a somewhat crude Xerox, possibly created by the author to identify a jacketless copy. Our own Jon Gilbert, bibliographer of Ian Fleming, dealt with both John Gardner and his son Simon (The John Gardner Estate). Over the years we have been able to offer several of Gardner's James Bond manuscripts, as well as personal copies and other signed related material. Item #66744
