The Saint Abroad.
London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1970. [Crime novellas] FIRST UK EDITION, first impression. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.191; [1], advertisement. Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine. With the illustrated dust-jacket by Studio Stead, priced at 12s/£1.25. No inscriptions, some light foxing to edges of text block, jacket without chips or tears, not faded to spine, some rubs to joints and extremities, with a few speckles/splashed to upper. Very good. Containing two Saintly holiday adventures. This is the fourth Saint book to feature novelisations of Saint stories originally created for the 1960s television series starring Roger Moore; described as 'a hybrid' experiment by Leslie Charteris, in which the 'style was as close to my own', and being 'tolerably well received'. Rather scarce, with many copies entering the lending libraries and stamped thus. Item #66708
