Publisher's colour-illustrated paper covers, priced at 50c. Presented in a smart black cloth chemise case, with gilt titles to spine. Postal address label to upper, contents toned as expected, minor wear to spine and covers. Near fine, housed in a gilt-titled protective hardback cloth case. This is the first American appearance, abridged from 'The Living Daylights', which first appeared in the The Sunday Times Colour Section in February the same year. This copy is from the comprehensive bibliographical archive assembled by Jon Gilbert, with pencil ownership. His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #66340
