Thrilling Cities is a travelogue account of various exotic locations, many of which feature in the author's James Bond thrillers, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Macao, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Vienna, Geneva and Monte Carlo. These were serialised in The Sunday Times (1959-60) and are collected here for the first time in book form. Fleming would always seek out the "authentic pulse" of a city, by venturing down back alleys and away from the beaten track, it is this instinct that he believes lead him towards producing thriller novels.
