Bound in original blue cloth lettered in yellow to the backstrip, upper cover blocked with 'Cock Robin Thriller' device, in the pictorial dust-wrapper designed by Leo Manso, priced at $3.00 with other prices clipped, as was the publisher's practice. No inscriptions, very clean page edges, jacket lightly rubbed at joints. Near fine. The second James Bond novel. At 5,000 copies, this is actually less common that the UK first impression. From the comprehensive archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature/bookplate within). His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography.
