Novelist Ian Fleming chose Jamaica as his second home, writing his James Bond adventures at his North Shore retreat each winter, many of which were set on the island. As a working journalist, he also wrote widely on the country, it's history, culture and politics, this being one of his earliest examples. From the comprehensive collection assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencilled signature within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography.
