Publisher's black leatherette with gilt titles to spine and cream leatherette strips to fore-edges. Top edge red; fore-edge untrimmed. With the dust-jacket in grey, titled in white and red. Contents clean, minor offset from jacket flap, top edge gently toned, jacket lightly used. Near fine. This is the standard American uniform BCE, from the mid-1960s onwards. The penultimate full-length 007 novel, and basis for the 1967 movie starring Sean Connery as James Bond. Jon Gilbert's file copy, with his pencilled notes and ownership signature. His comprehensive guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Item #65488
