An indispensable guide to the first editions of Len Deighton, chief rival of fellow Cape-published spy writer Ian Fleming, who had championed his first novel 'The Ipcress File'. Deighton would contribute to several James Bond screenplays and wrote the e-book 'James Bond: My Long and Eventful Search for His Father' (2012), about his relationship with Ian Fleming and Bond producers Harry Saltzman & Kevin McClory.
