Contents clean, one mark to fore-edge, bright jacket is a little rubbed to spine tips, neatly re-touched to reverse side as show. A near fine copy. The true first printing of the final Philip Marlowe mystery, which precedes the US first by some three months. An Ian Fleming source book, being read by James Bond in the novel Goldfinger; Fleming and Chandler were friends, with each giving presentation copies of their books to the other.
